Night Fall (October 7)
Night Fall is a fun annual event that's highly anticipated by kids and adults alike. Held at Bushnell Park, the festivities celebrate the changing of the seasons with dance performances, musical entertainment, and Anne Cubberly's signature giant puppets. The show starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. and visitors are welcome to bring blankets and chairs.
Connecticut Renaissance Faire (every weekend through October 9)
Journey back in time at the Connecticut Renaissance Faire. It offers the old-world charm of a 16th-century village that's complete with laughter, romance, and old-fashioned fun. Each weekend brings a different theme, and weekly entertainment includes The Renaissance Man, The Bawdy Buccaneers, and Birds of the Gauntlet.
Glastonbury Apple Harvest Festival (October 13-15)
Known as one of the best annual events in Connecticut, the Glastonbury Harvest Apple Festival welcomes more than eighteen thousand attendees every year. It features the Angry Orchard 5K Race and an array of musical acts such as Riley Pinkerton, Pat Stone & the Dirty Boots, and the Balkun Brothers.
Fair Weather Acres Fall Festival (through October 29)
For more than one hundred years, the Collins family has been farming the Connecticut river valley's rich soil. They're known for offering more than two hundred varieties of vegetables and three hundred types of flowers, in addition to their annual fall festival. The fun includes a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and scarecrow walk.
